Simon Williams

Simon is an independent candidate standing in the constituency of Rushen.

He's a tattoo artist and body piercer and this is his first time standing in a general election.

Simon has one grown up daughter and a nine-year-old grandson, and has three Horsefield tortoises and two goldfish.

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, boat angling, sea kayaking, gardening, wood turning, clay and ceramics, clay pigeon shooting, motorcycling, motorhome holidays, and collecting cacti, succulents and variegated houseplants.

Simon says, if given the opportunity, he'll serve the people of Rushen - and the Isle of Man as a whole - to the very best of his ability.

We asked each candidate to tell us what their top priorities would be for the next administration.

Simon chose health and reducing waiting times particularly for GPs, addressing housing issues including more public sector and affordable housing and supporting first time buyers, immigration and protecting our Manx culture and heritage.
