Rachel Glover is an independent candidate and she's standing in the constituency of Onchan.
She is a scientist and a business founder and this is her first time standing in a General Election.
She has one child and a long-haired, stumpy Manx cat called Odin.
She says wants to contest a seat in the House of Keys because she is 'tired of watching real problems get strategy documents instead of a measurable solution with named accountability'.
Rachel is founder of Taxa Genomics, and volunteered to establish the Isle of Man's Covid-19 testing laboratory during the pandemic.
Among her priorities are increasing the Island's birth rate by making the Island more family friendly, addressing the housing crisis, and diversifying the economy.
We asked each candidate to tell us what their priorities would be if elected.
Rachel chose extending the childcare credit to babies, diversifying the economy and backing SMEs to reduce our reliance on a few large employers, and getting value for money in healthcare by measuring what's actually delivered.
