Juan McGuinness
Juan is an independent candidate standing in the constituency of Ramsey.
He is currently a sitting Ramsey Town Commissioner, a role he's held for the past 10 years.
In his day-to-day work, he's spent nearly 20 years in compliance within the financial services industry - a role he says is built around standards, accountability and asking the right questions.
Despite loving cats, Juan has no pets because 'sadly' he's allergic to them.
In his spare time, he says politics has been an interest of his for many years, and that he used to enjoy rugby until he became too old to play!
Juan says: "I've always stood up for Ramsey, and I would continue to do that.
"But this is also about applying what I've learned locally to the wider Island, making sure decisions are practical, thought through and properly tested."
We asked each candidate to tell us what their top priorities would be for the next administration.
Juan chose housing, healthcare and Ramsey.
