Ravens could secure top-ten finish in last match of 23/24 campaign

After another rollercoaster campaign over the past nine months FC Isle of Man's latest NWCFL Premier Division season comes to a close tomorrow evening (27 April).

They face Lower Breck in a rearranged fixture at The Bowl on Saturday night - victory for the Ravens would seem them secure a spot in the top ten.

The Manx side are already confirmed to better their 13th-placed finish in the table from the previous campaign and will end it with at least 17 more points.

FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says he wants his players to enjoy this weekend after all their hard work up to this point:

Whilst both sides go into the weekend locked together just above mid-table, recent form has the two outfits among the best in the division in terms of recent results.

Out of the 24 sides, FC Isle of Man are seventh over the last six games with a record of three wins, two draws and one defeat.

Meanwhile Lower Breck's tally of five wins and just one defeat over the same number of games sees them tied-second on form - only play-off chasing Charnock Richard have a better current record.

Over their three league meetings so far, FC Isle of Man and Lower Breck share an even record with both having earned one victory over the other along with a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture between them this season.

In the 2022/23 campaign, nine-man Lower Breck stunned FC Isle of Man with a 1-0 win at The Bowl before the Ravens got revenge with a 2-0 victory on Merseyside in April 2023.

Both also crossed paths once in the cup last season, also at The Bowl, in the FA Vase with FC Isle of Man emerging 3-1 winners.

This weekend's clash of FC Isle of Man vs Lower Breck will kick-off tomorrow at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
