Final four of this year's Hospital Cup decided (Results: 4 May)

Foxdale will be playing in the top flight of Manx football next season after securing premier league status for the first time in 28 years.

They've earned promotion following a commanding 8-0 win at home to Malew in DPS Ltd. Division 2 this afternoon (4 May).

A brace apiece for both Jason Charmer and Ricky Newsham was also added to with goals from Jay Chatwood, Stephen Bettridge, Liam Cannan and Kevin Pulman.

It'll be the first time the club has played in the top tier since the 1995/96 campaign.

Elsewhere the final four of this year's Hospital Cup were decided during the quarter-finals of the competition this afternoon.

Peel earned a narrow 1-0 victory at home against ten-man St John's United in a western encounter whilst Ramsey earned a 3-0 win away at local rivals Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.).

Clinical finishing proved the difference at Glen Road for Laxey as they were 3-0 victors over Douglas Royal - elsewhere, Ayre United secured a ruthless 6-1 win at home to Marown.
