Pop trad group Mec Lir are Manxies Tomas Callister, Adam Rhodes and Dave Kilgallon with Greg Barry from Scotland on drums. Together, they make 'a magical cocktail of beat-up trad music that will make you DANCE.' This week, they released their debut full length album 'Livewire' - which went straight to the top of the iTunes World Chart.

Christy caught up with them a few days before the release and, bearing in mind their EP was released back in 2014, her first question had to be: why did it take them so long to get the album out? Tom took that one on!
