At Your Service

Sunday, 4 December 2022 - 32 minutes

Christmas is going 'live' again - at the request of the Douglas Town Centre Management, who have invited churches of all denominations to work together to present an outdoor re-telling of the Christmas story.  It's going to be on one of the late night shopping nights - Thursday December 15th at 6.30pm and it's completely free - but to keep everyone safe and comfortable, we need to be careful about numbers so we must issue tickets - go to the website www.christmaslive.im and the link is there to claim free tickets.
This year's presentation has lots of different people involved,  bringing the Christmas story alive in a different way!
Pioneer Minister Rev'd Alex Brown joins us with the full story!
Richard Littledale joins us,  with another nativity set, selected from his personal collection of crib sets from around the world.   This one (featured in our photograph) tells a particularly touching story.
Richard's story and reflection are taken from his book '37 Kings and a Budgerigar' published by Authentic Media  (authenticmedia.co.uk)
And you can find out more about Richard on his website - www.richardlittledale.co.uk
As you might imagine, our notice board is packed with services and events where you'll be made most welcome and can share in the true spirit of Christmas
Notice board news can be emailed to me - judithley@manxradio.com
And today's music is from the St Michael Singers conducted by Paul Leddington-Wright (Lo, He Comes with Clouds Descending) and from Margaret Rizza (The Lord Is My Light)
