On this week’s programme, the modernisation of the rating system in the Island could be broadened out beyond just domestic rates. But just what has the hold-up been in progressing reform so far during this administration?

And what are the implications of the Island not implementing the new General Data Protection Regulation? In Tynwald last week, the Legislative Council rejected the regulations which would see the new legislation come into force. The Policy and Reform Minister will now bring the item back for a combined vote next month – we’ll speak to Chris Thomas about the issue.
