Health minister outlines plans following Tynwald debate

Manx Care is working to help the Island's ME sufferers get support 'on the ground'.

That's from Health and Social Care Minister David Ashford, following a lengthy debate on the chronic illness in Tynwald.

He says the DHSC will look at training doctors to help them identify ME at an early stage, as well as appointing a 'GP champion' to act as a central point for support.

Mr Ashford has apologised that it's taken so long to provide help.

GPs like Dr Helen Greig say they need expert advice before they can treat ME patients.
