Visiting fishermen face stricter measures at ports

Stricter border controls were in place at the Island's ports for the start of the King Scallop fishing season (1 Nov).

Visiting fishermen are only allowed to land catch in Douglas and Peel, while Port St Mary and Ramsey are limited to local crews.

Peel breakwater is also  shut off to the public with a 24 hour security detail in place to police the new rules.
