Marown pull off cup shock

Douglas Royal beaten by Crosby side

Marown pulled off a shock result in the Keystone Law Hospital Cup preliminary round.

The Division Two side knocked-out Premier League Douglas Royal 4-1 thanks to Ashley Higginbotham with two goals, an early strike from Ryan Dean and an own goal.

FA Cup winners Corinthians were too strong for Division Two leaders Castletown winning 7-0 with Luke Murray scoring a hat-trick.

Furo Davies was on target four times as St. George's eventually saw off a hard-working Onchan 5-1 at Glencrutchery Road.

There were big wins for Old Boys who won 10-2 at Braddan and St. Mary's who thrashed Michael 12-2 at The Bowl.

Other sides making it through to the first round were Union Mills, Peel, Foxdale, Ramsey Youth Centre and St. John's.
