Gymns, Braddan and Pulrose reach last four
Gymns returned to form approaching their best with a convincing win in the quarter-finals of the GH Corlett Woods Cup on Saturday.
They thrashed Ramsey Youth Centre 7-2 at Tromode, thanks to goals from Nick Bowden (two), Jordan Cooper, Jeremy Lovett, Nick Ford, Sean Shimmin and Adam Johnson.
Braddan saw off spirited Douglas and District.
They had been pushed hard in the first half with Sam Tipper ensuring D&D went in level at the break but the second division promotion chasers were ultimately too strong, running out comfortable winners with goals from Chris Craine (two), Andy Glover (two), Michael Hutton and an own goal.
Darren Flanagan (two), Joe Canipa and James McGinn got the goals as Pulrose won well, 4-1 at Onchan, to book their place in the last four.
Andy Ashbridge had put the home side in front.
