Cav reigns again in Italy!

Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish has won another stage of the Giro d'Italia.

He crossed the line in a bunch sprint at the end of stage nine, which saw the field complete ten laps of a 16.5 kilometre circuit in Milan.

Cav edged out Australian Allan Davis and American Tyler Farrar to claim victory, and make it three straight wins for his Columbia-Highroad team.

Monday is a rest day for the cyclists before Stage 10 on Tuesday, the 262 kilometre section from Cuneo to Pinerolo.

Cav won the first stage of the event, as a member of the Columbia-Highroad team, and held onto the coveted pink jersey after being beaten by a bike's length in stage two.

Yesterday's victory in Milan was his ninth of 2009 and his third individual success in the Giro d'Italia, following two stage wins in last year's event.

It was the 37th win of his professional career, and he is now only four behind Chris Boardman as the most successful British cyclist of all time.
