Flying Kiwi Anstey in line for emotional comeback
Next month's Classic TT will see a return to action around the Mountain Course for one hugely popular figure.
Bruce Anstey hasn't raced in two years due to a serious illness, but the New Zealander is set to make an emotional comeback with the Milenco by Padgett's team.
The Flying Kiwi has six podium finishes to his name at the Classic TT, which is the joint-highest along with Ian Lougher and Lee Johnston.
Three of those finishes saw 50-year-old Anstey standing on the top step, with his first victory at the event coming in the 2014 Superbike Classic TT on the Padgett's 500cc YZR Yamaha.
His last appearance racing around the Mountain Course in 2017 was also a successful one, setting the current lap record in the Superbikes with a speed of 127.496mph, while also claiming his maiden Lightweight Classic TT win.
Local rider Conor Cummins and the bright talent of Davey Todd will ride alongside Anstey as teammates when the event gets underway in August.
