Two local authorities asking for social housing rents to go up by five percent

Onchan Commissioners asking for zero percent

Castletown and Braddan Commissioners have asked the Department of Infrastructure to keep the social housing rents at a five percent increase. 

This would match current inflation rates but the government department will have the final say for 2024/2025.

Onchan Commissioners has requested a zero percent increase. 

The DOI has raised the social housing rents for the last two years.
