TT fans need more awareness of road closure rules say magistrates

Advocate suggests 'repeated messages' on radio

It’s after an Australian woman was fined £700 for entering the TT Course when it had been closed for racing.

Sentencing her at Douglas Courthouse on Thursday (6 June) the bench said there appeared to be an increase of people breaking the law this year.

Magistrates suggested leaflets should be handed out at the airport and sea terminal with the woman’s advocate suggesting it would be ‘useful’ to have the message repeated on the radio.
