Summer exams still 'intended to go ahead' but under review

Cambridge International still hopes to hold exams in person

It's hoped exams this summer will still go ahead in person, but the situation is under constant review.

It's the latest from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.

It follows the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement that there's a lot of uncertainty regarding the summer sittings.

According to a government statement, examining body Cambridge International is still 'intending to go ahead with physical exams this summer'.

However it adds that the 'deteriorating health situation in the UK' puts the decision 'under regular review'.

And the department insists it's in frequent contact with the exam boards used by schools in the Isle of Man, including Cambridge International.
