St Mary's contact tracing complete

Self-isolation no longer necessary for those not contacted by Covid-111 team

Pupils and staff at St Mary's Primary School who may have come into contact with a classmate who tested positive for coronavirus have now been contacted.

All who were at the school on Tuesday and Wednesday were asked to self-isolate, but the Isle of Man Government says those who haven't been contacted no longer need to do so.

A number of close contacts have been identified, with testing due to continue today.

Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart says not everyone who was at the school will need to be tested:

The pupil was one of two people to test positive late on Friday evening, with the source of both cases yet to be identified.

It means the total number of active cases of Covid-19 on the Isle of Man now stands at 20.
