Setbacks to projects 'absolutely' affected public perception says Crookall

Some mindsets in the Department of Infrastructure need to change to improve public confidence according to the minister.

Tim Crookall's comments came after he admitted some of the Manx public had 'lost faith' in the Liverpool ferry terminal project.

Tynwald will be asked to approve an extra £32million for the project this month - it will take the overall cost to just over £70.68million.

The landing stage is not due to be finished until 'the middle of 2023'.
