Sailings affected as Storm Hector nears

Yellow weather warning in place from 11pm on Wednesday evening

Tonight's Ben my Chree sailing from Douglas to Heysham - and her overnight return - have both been cancelled.

It's due to strong winds forecast with the arrival of Storm Hector.

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office at Ronaldsway which comes in from 11pm tonight.

It's thought coasts, hills and northern regions of the Isle of Man will be the worst hit.

The Mannan sailing from Liverpool to Douglas will now depart 45 minutes earlier than scheduled at 7.15pm.

Anyone who was due to travel is advised to check online before setting out.
