Restaurants 'have been ignored' by Gov't

Business owner says it doesn't understand hospitality sector

Government is ignoring pleas from the hospitality industry for increased financial support.

That's from the owner of a Douglas restaurant who's calling for a salary support scheme for those still feeling the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Business Premises Support Scheme will continue, for an extra three months, if a company's turnover is down at least 25 per cent.
