Residents asked to avoid election betting site

Enquiries indicate 24Keys is hosted off-Island, Police say

Police are advising residents to avoid a website which claims to be compiling statistics for the upcoming Isle of Man General Election.

The constabulary along with other Manx partner agencies have been looking into the site known as 24Keys.

Officers say it's not been possible at this time to contact it's owner.

They add enquiries indicate the gambling site is hosted off-Island and therefore doesn't come under the supervision of Isle of Man authorities.

Furthermore, Police state the site seems to have odds which could be described as 'misleading at best with no information or warnings that you would expect to see on regulated sites'.

As well as asking people to not use the site, local social media pages are also being advised not to connect with it.
