CM spells out when certain measures could change
Government has outlined a number of dates when certain Covid-19 measures will be reviewed by the Council of Ministers.
- From Sunday (10 May) small aircraft can be flown so they can be kept airworthy.
- On Monday (11 May) an announcement will made on changes to the repatriation of returning residents, after the chief minister signaled a new policy is being worked up. Garden centres will open to the public on this day too, with full social-distancing measures in place.
- Also next week (11 May) guidelines on pleasure craft use will be published, with a view to lifting restrictions on 16 May.
- Next Thursday (14 May) ministers will consider changes to rules on gatherings, the reopening of nurseries to all children, and whether non-essential shops can reopen on the following Monday (18 May).
- A detailed announcement on the restarting of non-essential health services is expected in the week starting on Monday 18 May.
- From Monday 25 May, a phased return to work, based on risk assessments, may be introduced. Regulations will be adjusted to enable companies to investigate how this could be done, and allow staff to access premises to put this in place.
