Foster Care Fortnight being marked on Island
People on the Isle of Man are being asked if they can offer their ‘home and heart’ to children in need.
It’s Foster Care Fortnight and more foster carers are urgently needed on the Island.
The UK-wide campaign, which runs until 24 May, celebrates the vital role foster carers play in providing stability, safety and care at crucial times.
This year’s theme - ‘This is Fostering’ - shines a light on the everyday realities of fostering.
Two events are being held which are designed to provide more information to anyone who might be interested.
They’ll take place as follows:
- Thursday, 14 May - Santander Work Café from 12pm – 2pm
- Wednesday, 20 May - Costa at The Sea Terminal from 5pm – 7pm
