Plea to give isolating workers financial support

Concerns for staff in customer-facing roles

There's plea for government to give financial help to frontline workers who're being made to self-isolate.

Concern is growing that those in customer-facing roles are being left exposed and the businesses they work for are struggling for staff as a result.

Andy Corrie is the Isle of Man Area Operations Manager for the Co-Op and retail lead for the Chamber of Commerce:

The issue will be raised by Douglas South MHK Claire Christian during today's sitting of Tynwald.

She'll ask the treasury minister about plans to support the self-employed affected by the track and trace policy requiring self-isolation for 10 days.
