Patients can now book eye tests at Manx opticians

Change comes after talks with health officials

You can now book an eye test at opticians across the Island, but you'll have to wear a mask in the room where the assessment is taking place.

It's one of the safety measures agreed by government health officials and the Isle of Man Association of Optometrists.

The two parties have been meeting over the last few weeks to thrash out a plan for the reintroduction of the tests.

Opticians have been offering repairs and selling glasses since some Covid-19 restrictions eased, but due to safety concerns, eye test had been put on hold.
