Onchan requisition meeting tonight (20 July)

Public invited to hear policies of would-be commissioners

There's a chance for Onchan residents to hear from candidates standing in the upcoming local authority elections.

The public are invited to Elim Family Centre on Second Avenue tonight from 7:30pm (20 July) to hear the policies and views of would-be commissioners.

It was called by the Captain of the Parish of Onchan, Mr Peter Kelly MBE, after twelve residents requested a meeting be held ahead of the election.

He'll also chair the meeting.

According to the advert posted for the meeting, discussion on the 'recent happenings within the authority's offices' will not be permitted.

There are eight people vying for the seven seats in Onchan, with the polling station for Thursday election at The Hub on School Road.
