NSC used for childcare provision for medical workers

Minister defends not making public announcement

The NSC is being used as a childcare facility for the children of frontline medical staff. 

The education minister says it’s to support those who are doing 'some of the hardest jobs' during the pandemic. 

Schools, nurseries, playgroups and childminders were forced to close due to the latest outbreak of Covid-19 with no hub provision provided due to the level of infection. 

Speaking to Manx Radio's Tessa Hawley Dr Alex Allinson justified why the NSC decision was kept under the radar:
