New car seat training sessions for parents

Hopes of addressing high number of badly-fitted seats

New training sessions to help parents ensure they have correctly fitted child seats for their car will soon be available on the Island.

It follows a recent police survey which revealed that 70% of seats which were tested on the Island were the wrong type, the wrong size or not properly fitted.

Head of the Isle of Man Road Safety Team, Samantha Heard, says getting the right seat for your car isn't as easy as it seems and the survey revealed parents didn't believe they had enough information on the subject

It's hoped the training sessions will be monthly.
