Concerns over visual impact and effect on sailing routes discussed at recent public meetings
The company behind proposals for an offshore windfarm off the Island's coast says it's received a mixed response to its consultation on its proposals.
Orsted's Mooir Vannin project off the east coast of the Isle of Man would include up to 100 wind turbines, with most of its electricity being generated for the UK market.
At a series of recent public meetings, concerns over the effect on sailing routes and the visual impact of the site were among the issues raised.
John Galloway from Orsted admits not everyone will be in support of the plans:
It's currently anticipated a planning application will be submitted in spring next year.
