Douglas East member worried bad reviews could compound financial losses
An MHK believes businesses on Douglas promenade are facing reputational damage as well as the loss of trade during the ongoing roadworks.
Clare Bettison is a member of the Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee, which has heard evidence from business owners based on the prom.
Some have seen takings fall since the scheme began, and have raised concerns about the long-term impact on their businesses.
