Manx Gaelic features in 'death and revival' study

Can traditional culture survive without Manks?

The Island's native tongue has become the subject of an academic study in Germany.

The University of Wurzburg  is researching people's attitudes on the Isle of Man towards Manx Gaelic.

Students at the Linguistic Department have put together an online survey which looks to explore the Island's contemporary cultural identity.

The questionnaire aims to evaluate the policy success of the language's revival efforts.
