Road closed weekdays for 4 weeks

Work will begin on Monday (23 July) to re-surface Glen Maye Road between Patrick Road and Glen May village.

The road will be closed both ways during weekdays from 9am to 4.00pm but will be fully open at weekends.

The scheme will take 4 weeks and has been programmed to take place in the school holidays.

Bus services will be suspended, on days when tarmac laying is being undertaken, after the 8.35am service from Niarbyl to Peel and until the 1554 bus from Peel to Niarbyl (Mondays to Fridays).

Updates will be available on Bus Vannin’s social media feed and the local radio. Facebook @iomtransport and on Twitter @iombusandrail

Work will stop for Royal Manx Show and the road will be safe to use by visitors and exhibitors.

There will be access for the whole period from the Roundtable and the diversion route will be fully signed.
