Litfest headliner announced

Six-day festival takes place later this month

With just over three weeks to go, organisers of Manx Litfest have made a series of announcements, including who the headliner is.

Frank Cottrell-Boyce is an acclaimed screenwriter and children's author, whose credits include the recent TV adaptation of Watership Down, the book 'Millions', and films such as 'Hilary and Jackie' and 'Goodbye Christopher Robin'.

Starting on Tuesday, 24 September, the six-day festival will see visiting and local authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers entertain audiences across 22 separate events.

These include the poetry slam, short story slam, book fanatics' quiz night and Writers' Day.

More than 20 school visits have also been arranged, and there will be several public events featuring children's authors.
