Likely Manx pupils will not sit exams again

Latest UK lockdown measures impact Island education

It seems probable Manx pupils will not sit A Level or GCSE exams for the second year in a row.

It follows the latest introduction of strict Coronavirus restrictions announced in England and Scotland by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Mocks and assessments will continue as they are likely to form an important part in the awarding of grades.

More details are expected to be announced by the Education Department later today.

This will include detailed advice to Island based University students on how the lockdown in the UK impacts on their studies.

It will also address any imminent travel to UK education establishments and plans to help with the provision of continued studies from on Island.
