How should development look in north and west?

Feedback sought on area plan proposals

People are being asked for their views on how development in the north and west of the Island should look.

A new area plan is being drafted to cover the towns of Peel and Ramsey, villages like Kirk Michael, St Johns and Foxdale and the surrounding countryside.

Maps and documents of the sites have been provided by the Cabinet Office which wants feedback on where, when and how land is allocated.

It's the first stage of a lengthy process and follows completion of the eastern area plan.

Policy and Reform Minister Ray Harmer wants everyone with an interest to get involved from the start for a 'more rounded and robust plan, to ensure matters and sites are fully scrutinised'.

Consultation documents can be found here.

The deadline for feedback to be submitted is 5pm on Friday 25 June.
