Gov't 'needs to focus on long-term e-bus benefits'

Two electric buses currently being trialled on Manx routes

An MHK says government has to think about the long-term benefits when considering purchasing electric buses.

Two e-buses are currently being trialled on Manx bus routes, including a double decker than would cost £500,000 to purchase.

Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh labelled the move 'virtue signalling', questioning whether the funds could be spent elsewhere.

But Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher believes the benefits offset the initial cost:
