Company tells government it's 'business as usual'
FlyBe has told government it is committed its three year contract to provide patient transfer to Liverpool.
It was announced earlier this week that the company had put itself up for sale, in the wake of severe profit warnings and an expected loss this year of £12 million.
The move has led to uncertainty for the future of the airline which flies critical routes from the Island including Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.
DHSC officers have been in contact with the company about the continuation of the service. A new contract was signed earlier this year.
In their response, FlyBe has also restated its commitment to the Isle of Man as base - and re-iterated that all operations are continuing as normal.
The airline is currently in the process of recruiting cabin crew ahead of basing its own aircraft at Ronaldsway from next summer (2019) and has promised to keep the Manx government informed of any developments.
