Fewer than 1 in 10 bus stops adapted for passengers with mobility issues

Budget to convert 15 more available

Fewer than one in 10 bus stops on the Island have been adapted to allow those with mobility issues to board a bus.

Around 80 of the more than 900 stops on the bus network have so far undergone improvements to make them more user friendly.

Political member for the Department of Infrastructure Tim Glover provided an update in the House of Keys this morning.

He confirmed there is a budget to make further changes, but the funds aren't enough to adapt every shelter:
