27-year-old died while on holiday in Costa Rica

The family of a Laxey man who passed away suddenly on holiday, have thanked friends and loved ones for their support.

Twenty-seven-year-old Fraser Vaughan collapsed whilst in Costa Rica on 30 December.

He grew up in Laxey and formerly attended Ramsey Grammar School.

Fraser’s parents, sister and girlfriend Hannah would like "to thank everyone for their kind words and support at this difficult time".

A funeral is to be announced in due course.

Tributes have also been paid by the Manx football community, with Fraser having been a regular player for Corinthians in the Canada Life Premier League.

On Twitter, the club described him as a star first-teamer and a special person, while offering sympathy to his friends and family.

Meanwhile Ramsey Youth Centre, for whom Fraser played at youth level, said it was a pleasure to see him at the club, where he was part of the league-winning under-17s side.
