EU citizens urged to apply to settlement scheme

Final call ahead of deadline tomorrow

European citizens on the Island are being urged to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme before the deadline tomorrow (30 Jun).

It'll allow them to continue to work and study here, and in the UK, while having access to free healthcare and benefits.

The scheme applies to EU, EEA and Swiss citizens, and their families, who were resident in the UK and Isle of Man by 31 December 2020.

There have been 2940 applications to date - the 2016 census showed 2658 EU nationals lived here.

Those who have questions about the scheme are encouraged to contact the Immigration Service on 685203.
