Common Travel Area visitors must take LFT
Border restrictions are being changed in response to the threat of the new Covid-19 variant Omicron.
The Isle of Man has moved to a 'heightened state of awareness' following confirmed cases in the United Kingdom.
From 4am on Tuesday (30 November) all international travellers, who are fully vaccinated, and who are arriving from outside the Common Travel Area must have a PCR test within 48-hours of arriving on the Isle of Man.
They must remain in self-isolation until they have received the result.
If people are not fully vaccinated they will still be required to undergo the seven day isolation period.
Travellers from within the Common Travel Area – regardless of their vaccination status – will have to commit to undertaking a lateral flow test within 12 hours of arrival on the Isle of Man.
They will be required to make a clear statement as to their 'intent' and understanding of this new testing requirement on their landing form.
The Isle of Man Government says it will 'develop a facility' for them to let them know when they have done the self-test.
