Attic fire leads to call out for firefighters in the south

Crews from Castletown and Rushen attend Ballabeg incident

A fire in an attic at a property in the south of the Island resulted in a call out for the Island's fire crews.

Smoke was coming from the roof when firefighters from Castletown and Rushen stations arrived at the scene in Ballabeg at 8.20pm yesterday.

Officers soon extinguished the fire and checked the area for hot spots with a thermal imaging camera, spending around an hour at the scene.
