Those planning to give evidence must register intent by next Thursday
Those hoping to give evidence to the public inquiry into the Area Plan for the East have just one week to register their intent.
Planning inspector Michael Hurley will chair proceedings, which are expected to take three to four weeks from 10 September.
Mr Hurley spoke to a crowd of around 80 people at a pre-inquiry meeting this morning to outline how the process will work.
Those intending to give evidence to the inquiry have to register by 25 July, while the deadline for submitting their written evidence is 16 August.
Among those in attendance were several Tynwald members, local authority representatives and the Save Camlork campaign group.
A dedicated website for the area plan will be set up with all documents relevant to the inquiry to be published there.
Once all the evidence has been heard, Mr Hurley will submit his recommendations to the Cabinet Office before they can be considered by Tynwald.
