A-Level Results: Students achieve overall pass rate of 99%

Department of Education publishes provisional results as youngsters figure out next steps

The overall pass rate for students receiving A*- E grades in their A-Levels stands at 99 percent.

Hundreds of pupils have been collecting their results today (13 August) and setting out their next steps into work or higher education.

The overall pass rate is on par with 2025.

Meanwhile, the percentage of students achieving the higher A*- B grades is down from 55 percent to 51 percent.

The number of those achieving A* - C is up a percentage point from 79 to 80 percent.

Over at University College Isle of Man, 78 percent of students successfully passed their Level 3 qualifications, most of which are equivalent to three A Levels; 75 percent achieved a Merit or Distinction.
