Customers offer large slice of support
More than £6,000 has been raised for the MacMillan cancer charity by customers of the Douglas Marks and Spencer branch.
Shoppers helped raise the sum when they joined in a 'world's biggest coffee morning' at the store on Friday 29 September - the proceeds going to help those living with cancer beat the disease.
It's the eighth year that M&S has worked with Macmillan Cancer Support, with over £10 million raised across the UK by its customers to date.
Store Manager Julie Hodgen hailed the event 'a huge success' and has thanked the Manx public for taking part.
The Douglas branch has been raising funds throughout September, by donating 10% of each sale from their food hall, and 5p for every hot drink and slice of cake.
