Business wheels turn for couple
A Kirk Michael couple are thanking local firms for support, as they begin their final phase of training for a London to Paris bike ride.
Nathan and Christine Evans plan to complete the 237 mile route in three days from 1 September, raising money for two cancer charities.
The Steam Packet Company is covering the cost of the couple's travel to the UK - a gesture the pair say has made the trip possible - while Sure has provided a smartphone for the pair to use during the journey, to post their progress on social media.
Island cycle firm Eurocycles has offered free checks on the bikes, while Bikestyle has donated a cycling jersey with the Hospice Isle of Man logo printed on.
Sponsorship raised by the couple will be divided between hospice and the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
