HSBC help NSPCC educate thousands of children on abuse

Bank funds organisation for four years

More than 9,000 Manx children have knowledge on how to stay safe from abuse with the help of HSBC.

According to Community Fundraising Manager for NSPCC Jeanette Drew, at least two children have suffered abuse or neglect in the average primary school class.

For the past four years, the bank has funded the NSPCC's School Service which has helped train staff, teach children how to recognise different signs of abuse and help them identify trusted adults they can speak to.

Chantal Le Goff is the Head of Sustainability for HSBC Isle of Man, she says during their time supporting the NSPCC on the Island, they are greatly encouraged seeing the number of children who benefit from the organisation's help, especially through the Speak Out Stay Safe Programme.
