The exhibition tell the story of the dying and forgotten parish of Jurby in the 1930s which was saved when the RAF station was built in 1938.

There are archive materials, memorabilia, photos, memories and stories of tragedy, drama and of the prosperity, status and glamour which the RAF brought to Jurby and to the Island. The display covers the bleak days of the 1930s to the celebration of the Queen’s Coronation and the legacy of the RAF which has shaped today’s parish. 85 years after the Jurby Chalice was sold to fund repairs to Jurby Church, the building is once more being restored.
