On #MRWomenToday listen again: Biosphere forum, lycra and dealing with ticks....

On #MRWomenToday we met the three young Manx delegates who are representing the Isle of Man at the first ever UNESCO Biosphere forum.

It's being held in Italy next month and Graihagh Hardinge, Ruth Keggin and Alfie Leach will join hundreds of other 18-35 year olds to debate the notion of sustainability.

The Island was admitted to the MAB world network of Biosphere reserves last year, recognising that it is truly a special place for people and nature.

Birthday boy Peter Longworth is the Project Lead for Biosphere Isle of Man within the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and he joined us to explain just why this status is so significant.  If your school, college, business, community group or charity would like to sign up to the pledge in support of the project you can contact Peter on 01624 685149 or email Peter.Longworth@gov.im

Also on the show we debated whether people over a certain weight should wear lycra, heard how to safely remove ticks and discovered yet more people who iron their tea towels.

If you missed any of the show you can listen again here for the next seven days.
